Carrie's Temporary Home
Carrie Underwood says the pressure is off this time around. The superstar tells us that the success of her previous two albums have given her a level of comfort when it comes to her upcoming CD, Play On. "I feel like the competing and trying to outdo myself was... like, I felt all that pressure on the second album because you don't want to put one album out and that one do well and then nothing you ever do do well again, so I feel like Carnival Ride was a good matchup with Some Hearts and it kept the momentum going and now I don't really have to compete with myself anymore."
Underwood says the success has also strengthened her confidence. "I can really focus on making everything really, really good and making things - things I want to say. My confidence as a writer, as an artist, as a performer has grown so much from the first to the second and then the second to this album, so I do get more comfortable and I do get more confident, and I feel like hopefully that continues and things keep getting better and better."
Below, Carrie discusses "Temporary Home," the next release from Play On. You can buy the song now at iTunes.
