Chesney Confirmed For BamaJam
Kenny Chesney may be taking a break from a full-fledged tour next summer, but he'll still be performing in a couple of cities. So far, Chesney will play at the Bama Jam & Arts Festival in Enterprise, Alabama in early June and Baton Rouge's Bayou Country Superfest on May 30th.
Chesney said, "I can't imagine a year not rocking the fans... not seeing those faces or hearing my songs sung back to me. That is where I'm the most alive, and those people are such a big part of who I am and why I do this. To me, not being out there would be the worst thing I could imagine..."
Tickets for the two festivals and the rest of Chesney's soon-to-be-announced 2010 shows will be available online at kennychesneyfanclub.com.
Chesney is working on a new album, in addition to some special projects.
He is nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist and Musical Event with Mac McAnally for "Down the Road" at next month's CMA Awards.
Chesney has already won the CMA's Entertainer of the Year award four times, tying him with Garth Brooks for most wins in this category.
