Taylor Frenzy Carries Into 2010
The first 15 dates of Taylor Swift's 2010 Fearless tour sold out in two minutes on Friday (October 23rd). Those dates include two-night shows in Newark, NJ; Uniondale, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Houston, TX; and Detroit, MI, as well as single-night shows in Washington, DC; Kansas City, MO; Dallas, Austin and Corpus Christi, TX.
The U.S. leg of next year's tour kicks off on March 4th in Tampa. Opening acts include Kellie Pickler and Gloriana.
All of this year's Fearless dates also sold out in record time, including Swift's show at Madison Square Garden, which sold out in one minute.
Swift's latest hit, "Fifteen," holds a special place in the singer's heart. She wrote the song about herself and her best friend, Abigail, when they were in highschool. Swift tells us: "'Fifteen' is probably my favorite thing that I've ever written. It's a really personal song. It's really vulnerable."
At 19, Swift is the youngest artist in history to be nominated for the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year award. She is up for a total of four CMA's, as well as six American Music Awards.
Swift is set to serve as both host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live on November 7th.
