Lady A On New Music
Lady Antebellum members Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood, and Hillary Scott took their live show into account when writing for their upcoming sophomore CD. The trio wanted to make sure the songs would sound as good in a large venue as it did being played on the radio or in someone's car, as Dave tells us: "Part of it, too, you know, we've been watchin' Kenny Chesney perform all summer and so part of the songwriting process has been, 'Hey, I wonder if this will stand up in a stadium or something like that.'"
Lady A's new CD, Need You Now, will be released on January 26th.
The album's title track and debut single is a Top Five hit and climbing on the country charts.
The group is nominated in two categories at next week's CMA Awards - Vocal Group and Single of the Year for their first Number One hit, "I Run To You." The CMA Awards will air live from Nashville on November 11th on ABC.
