Urban Gunning For Entertainer
If you've seen Keith Urban's live show, then you know his nomination for Entertainer of the Year at next week's CMA Awards is well-deserved. Keith has spent part of the past year taking fans on a journey on his Escape Together World tour, where he tells us he and the crowds came together each night to enjoy a break from everyday life. "I'm interested in entertaining, and it's really sort of hosting an event, really, and providing an environment for everybody to create the night, cause I can only do so much and the band can only do so much, and the audience has to come ready to participate. On this tour, more than any tour we've done, it's been monumental."

Keith hopes that fans walked away from his shows this year thinking their "escape" was well worth the price of admission. "I wanna make sure that for the people who may be able to only come to one concert this year, financially can only afford to come to one, I want to make sure they feel really good about that was money well spent."

Keith is also nominated for Male Vocalist, Album of the Year for Defying Gravity, and Musical Event and Video of the Year with Brad Paisley for "Start A Band."

Keith will perform live on the CMA Awards, which airs on ABC on November 11th at 7 p.m. CT.

He will also appear on both the Today show (NBC) and The Late Show With David Letterman (CBS) today (Thursday, November 5th).
