Pickler's Life-Changing Experience
Kellie Pickler will make a guest appearance on Sunday's (November 8th) episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, airing on ABC at 7 p.m. CT. Kellie joined up with the team in Beavercreek, Ohio to tell James Terpenning, a wheelchair sports champion and mentor to disabled Iraqi War veterans, that he and his family would have their home rebuilt in seven days. Kellie was the celebrity volunteer for this build and performed her new single, "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You," at the family's reveal.
Kellie tells us that volunteering with the rest of the crew on Extreme Makeover was an unforgettable experience. "That is the most incredible show I've ever been a part of. Any reality show you kind of wonder, like, how much of it's, like, real and how much of it's just kinda scripted and just kinda for television, and I guess I always think that way because I came from reality shows, but I got there and, let me tell you, everyone's heart in that show is in the right place. Like it is all about the families. It's all about creating a home that's functional for the families and just givin' back, and it's so real."
Being there in person for the big reveal was even more emotional for Kellie. "Like, it's different watchin' it on TV and then actually being there. It's emotional watching on telebision but actually being there takes it to a whole nother level, and it's absolutely life-changing to be a part of the show."
Kellie will be a presenter on the CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 11th). The show airs on ABC beginning at 7 p.m. CT.
