Ingredients:
- 1 lb. Ground Chuck (use 1 ¼ lb. for real meaty chili)
- 1 Medium Onion
- 1 Packet of McCormick Chili Mix (mild or hot)
- 3 Cans of Pork & Beans (15 oz.)
- 3 Cans of Campbell's Tomato Soup (10 ¾ oz.)
- 1 Can of Hunt's Tomato Sauce (8 oz.)
- Salt, Pepper, and Lawry's Seasoning Salt
Chop your onion and place in a skillet on medium high.
Crumble your ground beef & add to the onions.
Stir often until the ground beef is done, then empty the mixture into a strainer.
Let the meat drain while you prepare the rest.
Put your 3 cans of tomato soup into a large pot.
Add one can of water (from an empty soup can) and stir slowly so that it doesn't lump up.
Add the can of tomato sauce.
Stir.
Add 3 cans of pork & beans (with juice) and stir. (be sure to remove the piece of fat from the pork & beans)
Take your meat mixture and return to the skillet.
Add your McCormick Chili seasoning and mix it real well with the meat (making sure all of it is coated).
You do not have to reheat the meat.
Once the meat mixture is good and coated, pour the mixture into your chili pot and stir.
Add salt & pepper to your taste.
Sprinkle a few dashes of Lawry's Seasoning Salt.
Cook on medium until the chili is hot.
Be sure to stir often so it doesn't stick.
