Leave it to Rolling Stone to be too late to the party. They published an interview with the Hawk Tuah girl, Hailey Welch, where they dubbed her the “Gen Z Dolly Parton” and the national treasure we all need. First, I’ll let you Google who the Hawk Tuah girl, if you haven’t heard about her yet, but I wouldn’t bring her up around your kids. This girl seems very nice and I have nothing against her, but her 15 minutes of fame is either ending or has ended. Dolly Parton, on the other hand, has been around for decades as a singer, songwriter, actress, philanthropist. She’s even opened her own theme parks! You name it, she’s done it. An inspiration for every young woman who wants to be ANYTHING! She’s still giving back through her foundation to kids with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, donating books to kids all over the world. So to say a young girl who is a 15-minute internet sensation is the hero we need when we’ve had Dolly for so long, doesn’t sound like you appreciate what’s been in front of you. If I was Dolly, I’d never grant an interview to you, Rolling Stone, ever again, but Dolly Parton has much more grace than I have ever had.
