Oh, the irony! A woman attending an event dedicated to female entrepreneurs was asked to leave because her baby- six month old ” Darwin” made a sound. Yes, you read that right. It’s like going to a concert and being told to leave for clapping. This incident has sparked a wave of head-scratching reactions and raised eyebrows about inclusivity at these so-called empowering events.

Instead of promoting a supportive environment for working mothers, it seems the event organizers set a rigid rule that essentially sidelined women who couldn’t find alternative childcare. It’s 2024 , and yet we still encounter scenarios where traditional business norms clash with the realities of modern-day motherhood. If a business event tailored for women founders can’t accommodate a baby’s noise, then maybe it’s time to revisit those ‘inclusive’ policies. After all, the cries for change are louder than any baby could ever be (and they should be heard).

Anyways, maybe next time the event planners will remember that innovation often starts with a bit of chaos, including the occasional baby giggle or whimper.
