This time, before hitting the stage in Wichita, Kansas, he decided to swing by the local Walmart, ready to snag his latest release, Beautifully Broken. Talk about grabbing a quick vinyl fix! Unlike three years ago, when he couldn’t even find his vinyl in stores, Jelly this time walked away with not just the last vinyl copy but also the very last CDs available. Talk about a glow-up!
But here’s where things take a turn for the entertaining. While Jelly was on the hunt for his album, he encountered an employee named Orlando, who, despite being super helpful, had no clue he was dealing with a celebrity. Imagine asking a country star about their favorite recent record, completely oblivious to the fact that he’s standing right in front of you. Jelly’s c’mon-before-you-know-me sentiment comes off just the right amount of charming and relatable, proving that celebs are just like us—at least when it comes to getting lost in the aisles of Walmart!”
Of course, even though Orlando might not have recognized him, surrounding fans had no problem stopping to snap a selfie or two with the country star. So, it seems while Orlando’s country music knowledge might be lacking, Jelly Roll’s star power was undeniable. Who knew that in addition to signing records, he’d also be signing receipts at the checkout? Only in America!
